My Story

Cooking is a passion of mine, and I have learned that simple, nourishing meals don't have to be complicated or boring. Through experimentation, I have discovered that flavor is not the only aspect that contributes to the enjoyment of food - texture and presentation are equally important. I take pleasure in sharing my passion for cooking and maintaining good health by eating well. It is always gratifying to receive compliments on my recipes, which are often vegan, vegetarian, and plant-based, bursting with flavor. Pursuing health and wellness as a passion has always been a joy for me.

What makes me unique?

What set me apart is my ability to tell my story, in a open vulnerable way so I can help others. We all have stories but one story will resonate with you more than others. I am sharing my weightloss story because I want to make a difference.

I thought I had a fat gene in me or maybe I do or so I thought being overweight was part of who I am. Those were my limiting beliefs engrained deep in my DNA. But not quite true from what I have learnt and experienced. I am not a scientist but I have learnt genes can be turned on and off. What that means is if you feed your genes with food that increase your chances of gaining fat you will get fat. But on the other hand if you starve those genes from same food the outcome is changed completely.

Once I learnt  about this and continuously about nutrition I was convinced to change my life forever. See, I am authentic about who I am and my purpose on this planet.

I attribute my resilience to my personal values which have been refined over a period of time. And these are my personal values:

I changed my lifestyle through a process that was challenging but that has brought so much fulfilment in my life today.

My challenges were fear based, so I attribute my weight loss mostly to overcoming and eliminating fear based beliefs. These may manifest as blame, self sabotage, manipulation, jealousy and judgemental. Now my behaviour is aligned with my values which are honesty, trust and accountability. I have never been close to feeling authentic like I do now.

Who am I?

I am a dedicated and motivated person true to myself and my values. I have a strong sense of caring and feel empathy for others. I seek to develop and grow as I continue to overcome my anxieties and fears. I stand for honesty, integrity, trust and accountability.
